Directions to Summerville’s Azalea Park:
From US 61 North, drive past Middleton Place 5 miles,
turn right on Hwy 165 (Bacons Bridge Road). Stay on Bacons Bridge
Road approx. 5 miles until it ends, and you must turn left or right. Take
a left on to East Carolina Ave. At the 3rd light (Five Points),
turn right on US 17A (South Main Street). Drive 2 blocks and keep
going past the next traffic light, then Azalea Park is 1/2 block on your
left at the bottom of a slight hill. (It’s easy to miss the
turn – there is no sign directing you toward the park.)
From I-95 North, take exit 53, follow signs to US17-A
32.0 mi to Summerville. 17-A becomes S Main St
2-1/2 blocks past sharp left turn, Azalea Park is on left
From I-26, take exit 199-A (U.S. 17-A South). Continue
on 17-A (which
becomes Main Street) about 1-1/2 miles. You'll want to be in the left hand
(center) lane before you cross the railroad tracks, and keep going straight
through the next traffic light. You'll see Town Hall on your right.
Proceed straight, go down a slight hill, see the 1950's Hamilton Motel on your
left,
and then Azalea Park is on your right - no sign to it from Main Street.
Turn right at W. 5th South Street.
Handicapped parking is available near the Cuthbert Center
on West 5th Street.
The nearest ATM is at First Citizens Bank, 218 S. Main
Street, just behind Town Hall.
